SYNOPSIS
Four students descend upon a tropical rain forest resort in Costa Rica with the purpose of having an adventure for a vacation at an aunt's place. Beautiful waterfalls and lush green jungles are the first sign of heaven but there's also a darker side to paradise. The four are warned not to venture outside after dark. Something from the jungle is stalking the vacationers. Whatever it is, is it protecting a secret or is it something so unspeakable?

Reading Body Language in ASL by Byron Bridges Sat, November 6, 9am – 4pm ACC Highland Business Center, Rm 201, 5930 Middle Fiskville Rd, Austin TX 78752

Language, as we know it, is very much an integral part of humanity. We need it to communicate our ideas, thoughts, and feelings with others. Language is also used in a way where it allows us to bond with people and come together as a community. Non-verbal communication plays a major role in our daily activities. This workshop, presented by Dr. Byron Bridges, will focus on reading body language when someone is signing in ASL. We will be studying many different perspectives: proximity, body language, kinesics, and nonverbal gestures. This workshop will be an eye opener even for the most experienced interpreter.

RID and BEI CEUs (.6) pending

$50 if mailed by October 23rd
$60 at the door

Please make checks payable to “Byron Bridges” and mail to: Byron Bridges, 1212 Rio Grande St, Austin TX 78701

A portion of the proceeds will go to ACC’s American Sign Language and Interpreter Training scholarship fund.
