A Benefit Concert for Texas School for the Deaf November 18
Austin, TX â November 18, 2011 â Texas School for the Deaf (TSD), the oldest continuously operating, publicly funded school in Texas, presents today, as part of their ongoing Language For All campaign, a benefit concert at The Mohawk, 912 Red River, in Austin Texas. The line-up features some of Austinâs best local talent across two stages.
Doors open at 7 P.M. Music begins at 8 P.M. 18 and over $10 donation/entry fee
Outside stage: Fresh Millions, The Dark Water Hymnal, Gold Beach, The Great Nostalgic Inside stage: The Pons, The Sour Notes, One Hundred Flowers, Anam Milá Entry includes a free music download card with songs donated by the bands Music interpreted for full accessibility to deaf and hard of hearing audiences by LotuSIGN Plinko with prizes from local sponsors, including Amyâs Ice Cream, End of an Ear Records, Triple Crown Tattoo, Maria Maria, Thunderbird Coffee, Bacon and Frank.
Language For All Campaign
With budgets dwindling, deaf and hard of hearing studentsâ access to language is being threatened. TSD is embarking on an ambitious campaign to inspire Texans to support a cause that ensures the availability of this fundamental right to all of its citizens. Through social media and a creative series of community activities, join TSD on this relentless crusade to fight for Language For All.
