6th Annual Diamond Chefs Gala for Texas School for the Deaf Foundation
The Diamond Chefs Gala themed âBoots and Blingâ is the Foundationâs signature fundraising event in support of our children.
Each year the Texas School for the Deafâs Culinary Arts Students work under the direction of the Hiltonâs Diamond Chef to prepare a gourmet meal like no other! We provide a four-course meal, wine, a VIP Reception, a vote for best âBoots and Blingâ attire, dancing and much more. The evening is a great celebration of our children, community, and our school.

Every summer the Educational Resource Center on Deafness and the Texas School for the Deaf host a popular program called Family Weekend Retreat (FWR) for families in Texas who have a child who is deaf or hard of hearing. We offer something of interest for everyone in the family - fun activities, educational workshops and lots of opportunities to network with other families. All family members are welcome!
Register by April 30th to receive the early bird cost of $75 for a family of 4 and $10 for each additional family member â this includes meals and lodging in the dorms. Standard pricing of $100/family of four goes into effect on May 1st. Families arrive on Friday afternoon and depart on Sunday by noon.
Please note: Deaf or hard of hearing students who are enrolled at TSD and their families are not eligible for this outreach program.
