Free photos by Michael Barker Photography with Signing Santa Claus for children who are deaf and hard of hearing, along with holiday music by students from Texas School for the Deaf
That’s right. Santa knows many languages, including American Sign Language (ASL).
Signing Santa Claus - sponsored annually thanks to Barton Creek Square Mall - gives area children who use ASL to communicate, the opportunity to relay their holiday wishes directly to Santa, and on to the North Pole.
Volunteers and students from the Austin Optimists Clubs and Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) provide each child with a free photo on Santa’s lap and a small treat from his workshop, while TSD students perform to holiday music in American Sign Language.
Adults $7, Students/Sr. Citizens $5, Age 5 & under FREE
Cost: $40/lunch included
