Simple Sundries (SI)
Sunday, March 8, 2015. 6pm
Salvage Vanguard Theater, 2803 Manor Rd, Austin TX 78722

Simple Sundries is an original theatrical performance from the award-winning, Austin-based company Glass Half Full Theatre. This new comedy featuring Glass Half Full's unique blend of puppetry and live performance centers on a budding entrepreneur named Constance, recently arrived in Austin in search of a more "Authentic Lifestyle". Her plans to open an extravagant sundries shop in East Austin are thwarted by the former residents of her recently flipped bungalow, namely a colony of monk parakeets who have other plans for their longtime home. A comic exploration of Austin’s current economic explosion and what happens to those who were already here, using puppets and physical comedy.

Get Mortified
Friday, April 3, 2015 at 7:30pm and 10:30pm Saturday, April 4th at 7:30pm and 10:30pm 29th Street Ballroom, 2908 Fruth St, Austin TX 78705

Check out this story telling series here in Austin! These are people reading from their ACTUAL adolescent journals! The stories are funny, sad, and all too relatable.

Get tickets for April soon, because tickets sell out fast! We DO reserve seats for the Deaf audience members, though, so if you purchase "standing room only" tickets at the door you should still be able to sit up close see the interpreters! All of the interpreted shows are labeled ASL interpreted, and so far Austin is the only show nationwide providing interpreters. Show the Nationwide show how much you appreciate this service, and maybe the Seattle and DC chapters will start doing the same!

If you want to get a better idea of what to expect check out the Mortified Nation documentary on Netflix! http://getmortified.com/live/
