Check out this story telling series here in Austin! These are people reading from their ACTUAL adolescent journals! The stories are funny, sad, and all too relatable.
Get tickets for April soon, because tickets sell out fast! We DO reserve seats for the Deaf audience members, though, so if you purchase "standing room only" tickets at the door you should still be able to sit up close see the interpreters! All of the interpreted shows are labeled ASL interpreted, and so far Austin is the only show nationwide providing interpreters. Show the Nationwide show how much you appreciate this service, and maybe the Seattle and DC chapters will start doing the same!
If you want to get a better idea of what to expect check out the Mortified Nation documentary on Netflix! http://getmortified.com/live/

Join us for an exclusive evening of fine dining, entertainment, and fundraising to support the Texas School for the Deaf.
The Diamond Chefs Gala is TSD Foundation’s premier fundraising event of the year. With a “Vegas Nights” theme, our 9th annual Diamond Chefs Gals will feature a casino, putting the “fun” into fundraising! Hilton’s Diamond Chef Mark Dayanandan will direct the TSD Culinary Arts students on the preparation of a four-course gourmet meal for more than 250 guests, with magnificent wine pairings from Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. After the gourmet dining experience, guests will participate in fun-filled casino games! Come test your luck at poker, blackjack, craps, and roulette!
Throughout the evening, guests will also be offered a variety of fun and engaging ways to donate to the TSD Foundation, including Silent and Live auctions, Fund-A-Need, and the Wheel of Fortune. Auction items will include season tickets to 2015 UT home football games, jewelry, trips, gift cards to a wide variety of Austin restaurants, and several eclectic gift baskets! Fund-A-Need provides guests the opportunity to donate to specific TSD programs with bids that typically range from $100 to $1000.
Proceeds from the Diamond Gala support Texas School for the Deaf Foundation, ensuring that deaf and hard-of-hearing children in Austin and throughout Texas excel in an environment where they can . . . LEARN, GROW, and BELONG!
