Opening Minds, Opening Doors: Preparing a Powerful Story for Presentation

The application deadline for the new Opening Minds, Opening Doors class in Austin has been extended to March 7th. This program is FREE and a great opportunity for self-advocates to become stronger writers, develop public speaking skills, and present their stories at conferences around the state. If you know anyone who would be interested in joining this program, please forward them this information.

In this class, each participant will write a personal story and develop the presentation skills needed to deliver it in public. Dr. Chris Strickling, director of Actual Lives Austin, will instruct this class. Don’t miss out on this opportunity! Find your voice, tell your story, and build the skills necessary to advocate for disability rights. For more information about our program, please visit or read the "Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Join OMOD" here.

Thank you!
