For one day only, an all-female motorcycle gang the ‘L.O.W. Riders’ will ride from San Antonio to Austin to create an urgent, harmonious BOOM! BOOM! WHAMMM! SWOOSH! sound inside an empty parking garage. The site serves as a vehicle to amplify the sound of the roaring motorcycles along with the screams of participating audience members. Artist Irvin Morazan will conduct the sound and orchestrate the movements of around 30 performers that are directly affected by the current political climate while wearing a custom-built sculptural headdress. The headdress is a hybrid sculpture combining Morazan’s Mayan indigenous/mestizo background with absurdity, fiction, animism, subcultures and contemporary culture.
BOOM! BOOM! WHAMMM! SWOOSH! offers a cleansing effect similar to the ancient sound healing practices of a Gong Bath that uses vibrational sound and frequency to help reduce stress, alter consciousness, and create a deep sense of peace and well being.
BOOM! BOOM! WHAMMM! SWOOSH! is a ritual cleansing/ scream session against racism, xenophobia, homophobia and gender discrimination.
Deaf performers will be incorporated into this very unique performance!

Sex: (almost) everybody does it and (almost) nobody talks about it—except at Bedpost Confessions, a live storytelling show. Stories told at BedPost Confessions explore themes of sexuality, gender identity, dating, marriage, masturbation, break-ups, health, and more. Whether the performers are funny, informative, fictional, thoughtful, embarrassing, raunchy, heart-warming, political, or completely personal, the audience receives their stories with love and returns the favor by sharing their own. In fact, the anonymous confessions submitted by the audience and read aloud by the producers are the real star of every show. We aim for each BedPost Confessions to either spark a fantasy or start a conversation. Maybe even both.

Sean Berdy Entertainment Presents an ASL Champions Event:
An Evening with Sean Berdy
An inspirational and Humorous Journey Through Sean’s Life
An Evening with Sean Berdy is an inspirational and humorous journey through Sean’s life. Guests at the event will also be treated to a very special musical performance by Sean!
Sean, best known for his portrayal of the “Deaf James Dean” character, Emmett, on “Switched at Birth,” delivers motivational speeches across the country for a multitude of events. Sean uses charisma, warmth and humor to inspire audiences by using his own compelling life story as an example of what one can achieve if they set aside limitations and never stop believing in themselves.
Fans of Sean’s music videos will also be very happy to know he will be performing one of his favorite songs at the event. Following Sean’s inspirational presentation and musical performance, he will open the floor to questions and then close the evening with an opportunity to personally say hello and perhaps snap a fun picture or two.
For our hearing attendees who may not yet be fully fluent in ASL, an interpreter will be on hand for Sean’s presentation, Q&A, and Meet & Greet.
“An Evening with Sean Berdy” is part of Sean’s “ASL Champions Tour.” Net proceeds for the event will be shared with this event’s ASL Champion and gracious host, Austin Community College’s ASL Friends United (AFU).
Please note: Tickets must be purchased online prior to the event. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.
Sponsored by Austin Community College and ASL Friends United (AFU)
