ASL Friends United (AFU) Presents... Our First Meeting of the Year! (For real this time!).
President Margo Hutto will have a special announcement regarding the state of the organization and why we are a bit late to get started this semester. There will also be announcements regarding events for this fall semester.
We will also have an ASL ice-breaker and activites for students to practice ASL.
All Students of ACC's ASLIT department are welcome. All Deaf and Hard of Hearing students are welcome.
If you are a new ASL learner, we will have interpreters on hand to interpret during the announcements.
Sex: (almost) everybody does it and (almost) nobody talks about itâexcept at Bedpost Confessions, a live storytelling show. Stories told at BedPost Confessions explore themes of sexuality, gender identity, dating, marriage, masturbation, break-ups, health, and more. Whether the performers are funny, informative, fictional, thoughtful, embarrassing, raunchy, heart-warming, political, or completely personal, the audience receives their stories with love and returns the favor by sharing their own. In fact, the anonymous confessions submitted by the audience and read aloud by the producers are the real star of every show. We aim for each BedPost Confessions to either spark a fantasy or start a conversation. Maybe even both.
October's performers are:
â Newbie & Naughty Bits co-host Katie Stone â Poet Jacob Dodson
â BedPost veteran Nikki DaVaughn
â Entertainment by Rapt Aerial Dance
â Emceed by Mia Martina & Sadie Smythe â Music Stylings by DJ KidGorilla
â Giveaways by Adult Video Megaplex Package Menswear â Interpreted for the deaf by SOULumination â Lounge opens at 6:30, Doors 7:15, Show 8:00 â Same show - two nights in a row!

With inspiration from movies/TV such as Center Stage, Dance Academy and Save the Last Dance, Dance Dreams follows the drama and aspirations of students chasing their dreams to become professional ballet dancers. Full of humor and dancer angst, this show explores the challenges of being young and pursuing art in a competitive field. And it's all completely improvised.
