Best of the holiday season to you!
¿¿ Retiring ??
After 12 years of publishing Austin Deaf Events I am ready to turn it over to a new person(s) or organization. I was in Byron Bridges's class in the Interpreter Preparation Program at ACC when he recruited me to take over from Joe Plo eger who was retiring the project to turn his attention to his growing family.
My attention is drawn ever more to Argentine tango. I started teaching it over a year ago, and I recently opened my own dance studio in the Oak Hill area of town. (http://tangotribe.com/)
I have a well defined workflow that doesn't take much time each week. All of the tools, such as the Facebook page, the website, domain name, and email address can be turned over. I am eager to see what an energetic person(s) or organization that is more connected to the Deaf community can do with this service. It would be great to see it improved upon and grow well into the future. It would be great to see it become a real resource for all Deaf and Hard of Hearing groups to coordinate events in Central Texas.
If you have an interest or know someone or a group who would be good, please get in touch at david@PROTECTED. Cheers! ¿¿ Retiring ??
